Dungeon Master 101 - Free Community Workshop (16+)

  • Eaton Boomers Pavilion 3 Council Drive Eaton, Western Australia, 6232 Australia (map)

Ever wanted to run your own tabletop RPG campaign but had no idea where to start? This free, beginner-friendly workshop is your entry point.

On Sunday 26th July, 9:30am-2:30pm at Boomers Pavilion, Eaton, five experienced Dungeon Masters will walk you through everything you need to know to get a game off the ground; from the basic rules and mechanics to world building, character work, and keeping your players safe and included at the table.

We'll cover:

  • Game rules & mechanics (both online and in-person play)

  • Safety tools and accessible play

  • Characters and role play

  • World building and description

  • Overcoming self-doubt as a new DM

  • Resources to keep you going after the day

You don't need to have run a game before, or even played one. A little familiarity with tabletop RPGs helps, but it's not required. Just bring yourself (and maybe a notebook and pen).

Cost: Free, but registration is essential via our website

Age: Open to anyone 16 and over. Support workers are welcome.

While our usual programs are aimed at 18-30 year olds, this one has no upper age limit. All ages and abilities are welcome.
