Mental Health Training

Accredited safeTALK and Youth Mental Health First Aid, plus tailored wellbeing and self-care workshops across the South West WA.

Give your people the confidence to step in
and the skills to do it safely.

Most of us want to help when someone's struggling, but freeze because we're not sure what to say or worried we'll make it worse. That uncertainty is exactly what good training removes. The result is a workplace, school, or community where people notice each other and actually reach out.

We make this the easy part. You tell us your context; we shape the training around it. No clunky, one-size-fits-all session that half your team tunes out of, just relevant, engaging learning delivered onsite by a facilitator who does this for a living.

Why mental health training matters

Suicide is the leading cause of death for younger Australians. In 2023, close to a third of deaths among people aged 15–24 were due to suicide.⁵ Most people thinking about suicide aren't in the healthcare system; they're at home, at work, and in the community.⁶ That's why the people around them like their colleagues, coaches, parents, and youth workers make the difference. Building that confidence across your community, workplace, or youth program is some of the highest-value prevention work there is.

Proof & Credentials

Why organisations across the South West choose us

  • We know the local landscape. We're well networked with local councils, businesses, government agencies, and not-for-profits, with deep sector knowledge across the Greater Bunbury region and wider South West.

  • We're peer-led and youth-informed. Young people and local communities help design and lead what we do, which is exactly why our programs land where generic, top-down offers don't.

  • We measure what matters. Our work draws on evaluation and learnings from the Blue Leaf Initiative, with evaluation partnerships involving UWA and The Kids Research Institute, so you get evidence you can put in front of a funder or a board.

  • We're built for inclusion. Our approach is designed to reach rural and remote communities, First Nations young people, LGBTQIA+ youth, and people with disability.

  • We're aligned with the big-picture priorities. Our work maps neatly onto the National Suicide Prevention Strategy 2025–2035 and the National Children's Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy which is handy when you're writing your own funding case.
